The group will play four headline dates before supporting Beck
The Strokes‘ Nick Valensi has announced his first shows with his new band CRX.
The group revealed themselves to the world earlier this week (August 1), via a website launch and several posts on social media. As yet, there is no music available from the band.
CRX, who are completed by The Dose drummer Ralph Alexander, Guards and Willowz guitarist Richie James Follin, LA musician Darian Zahedi, and The Reflections member Jon Safely, will play four headline shows this month.
The band’s first ever gig will take place at LA’s The Hi Hat venue on August 17. They will then play two shows in New York before heading back to LA for another show.
In September, the quintet will open for Beck on a handful of his tour dates, beginning with a show in Columbus, Ohio on September 20. They will also appear at concerts in Bloomington, Indiana (22) and St Louis, Missouri (23).
