The band will be playing in Cornwall this summer
Manic Street Preachers have announced that they’ll be playing the Eden Sessions in Cornwall this summer.
The band will be performing on July 9. The annual event series had already announced performances from Lionel Ritchie, Tom Jones, PJ Harvey and Jess Glynne.
Recently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album ‘Everything Must Go,’ the band are to play the album in full during their tour dates in May.
The Eden Sessions performance will draw from their 12 album back catalogue, from 1992’s ‘Generation Terrorists,’ to their most recent effort ‘Futurology’.
Recently, it was announced that Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield have written new songs for a forthcoming play called Before I Leave.
The show, a National Theatre Wales production, has been written by Patrick Jones, Nicky Wire’s brother. It is said to have a similar tone to gritty but uplifting British films from the 90s such as The Full Monty, Brassed Off and Billy Elliott.
