"Stick to guitars".
Noel Gallagher‘s sons have proved that they’re one step ahead of their dad when it comes to the beautiful game.
Last weekend, the former Oasis guitarist appeared on Soccer AM and took part in the ‘Volley Challenge’ with sons Donovan and Sonny.
And as the below clip shows, it was Sonny that stole the show with a powerful shot that allowed him to lob the goalkeeper on his first effort.
It was then Donovan’s turn to impress, who managed to bury the ball in the back of the net with his second attempt.
But when it came to Noel himself, it seems that his footballing skills aren’t quite matched by his passion for Manchester City – with the ‘Holy Mountain’ star making two attempts on goal before ultimately abandoning the task.
“Stick to guitars”, one Twitter user responded.
Another said: “Hahaha, Noel sucks at football. Beaten by his kiddo! Epic!”
Noel is known for his love of Manchester City, and last year watched the high-flying team romp to a 3-1 home victory against Arsenal with Johnny Marr.
He also recently described the current City squad as his “favourite of all time” after it was claimed that they soundtracked a furious dressing room brawl.
The Blues reportedly played ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ after their 2-1 derby victory over Manchester United in December 2017 , prompting Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho to storm into the away dressing room.
