Olly Murs responds to claims he doesn’t know the words to Oasis’ ‘Live Forever’

He really seemed to enjoy Liam Gallagher's BRITS performance

Olly Murs has responded to claims that he doesn’t know the lyrics to Oasis‘ classic hit ‘Live Forever’ after a video emerged of him singing along to Liam Gallagher‘s rendition of the song at last night’s BRIT Awards.

Last night (February 21) saw Liam perform the track as part of a tribute to the victims of last year’s Manchester bombings. Watch his full performance here.

Radio X recently shared a clip from the ceremony, which saw Murs singing along in the audience. It included a part where the star appeared to get the lyrics wrong. “Olly Murs doesn’t know the words to Oasis,” the tweet read.

Murs has since hit back at Radio X, calling it a “slow news day” and saying: “Oh piss off know every word you melts”.

The star also shared his own video showing him singing along to ‘Live Forever’ in an attempt to prove that he does indeed know the words. See that beneath.

22 people were killed in May last year when suicide bomber Salman Abedi blew himself up in the foyer of Manchester Arena as fans left an Ariana Grande concert.

Grande was initially scheduled to perform a tribute, but – according to reports – was forced to cancel after doctor’s orders prevented her from flying.

Gallagher was quickly snapped up as the replacement and Grande has since appeared to voice her approval of Liam’s performance.

At last year’s One Love Manchester tribute concert, which saw Grande headline, Liam performed ‘Live Forever’ with Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
