The air date for the next series of the HBO show has been pushed back
The air date Game Of Thrones season 7 has been pushed back.
Typically, each new series of the HBO show has started in April, but that will not be the case with the penultimate series.
As Digital Spy reports, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have revealed that the new series won’t begin until later in 2017.
“We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later,” they said on the UFC Unfiltered podcast.
“We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ – and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more.
“So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”
Season seven will only have seven episodes instead of the usual 10, while the showrunners have previously confirmed the series will finish after season eight.
