elliotmarsh - why is it a ridiculous comparison? It's more valid than ever as Albarn was Noel's rival and has gone on to challenge himself and his audience. Noel has just released tired dad-rock copies of 'Morning Glory' to diminishing returns. Is the new one gonna be any different ? I really hope it is a belter - like I said I used to be a big fan...but I doubt it.Oh, and riverboat song, since when did big following neccessarily equal good music ? Rick Astley was big in the 80's!

Exactly jeffn, Damon Albarn may be a bit of a pr*ck but musically he's streets ahead of Noel, who is a one-trick pony. Used to be a big fan of Oasis back in the mid-90's, but let's face it, they're a busted flush these days.
