Muse preview 'The Resistance' at hometown show - video

Matt Bellamy's band make live return on Teignmouth seafront

This was an awesome gig with Muse re-launching themselves on the live scene with a stupendous show. The new songs from "The Resistance" were all fantastic and only Muse could include "Popcorn" and make it work. All so good, glad to be at this one! Thanks Teignmouth!

A Muse show can be topped live, but only by another Muse show. The ease with which they achieve musical perfection is spine-tingling! Roll on November!

'Led Zeppelin will not tour – they're over' says manager

Jimmy Page's manager says the band will not continue in any form

Led Zep were one of the greatest bands to walk the earth between 1969 and 1976. That was the time to see them. They had faded just a little by the time I saw them at Knebworth in 1979. That's all 30 to 40 years ago!!Would I want to go and see Radiohead in 2032 with all the songs keyed down as Thom's voice couldn't cope with singing them as written anymore? No way, so get over Led Zep!Roll on the next Muse tour :o)

'X Factor' winner Alexandra Burke to claim UK's Christmas Number One

Jeff Buckley to enter UK Top Ten with 'Hallelujah' too

Tue 16 Dec, 2008

My favourite Jeff Buckley songs are Grace & Lilac Wine but his version of Hallelujah is still all I need to hear of that particular song.If I hear the corporate reality machine monstrosity I shall surely vomit over the nearest person. Thankfully, no need to ever hear this shit :o) X Factor does need to end!

Coldplay singer explains the situation to NME Radio

Having not heard either track I listened to both on iTunes out of interest and the melody really is 100% identical. But who knows whether it was intentionally ripped off or not?I downloaded the Joe Satriani song though as that one was pretty good!

Oh dear! What frightens me is that there are people who don't realise how totally ridiculous these awards are!How about the Best Rock Act of all Time? The Rubettes. Even this would be more credible.

Thom Yorke says his lyrics are 'nonsense' as Radiohead return to UK

Band kick off carbon-friendly British dates with London gig

I had no problems with the setlist but I found it almost impossible to concentrate on the music at all as string after string of people traipsed back and forward in front of me, behind me, and to the side of me for EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. MINUTE. of the gig.And everybody just yakked away through The Tourist as if they were in a bar at an office party??My fifth and the worst viewing of Radiohead live but cannot blame the group for this.

Muse, The Strokes, Oasis, Blur battling in radio poll

I don't need the boring dullards Oasis, the slightly interesting Blur or even the very entertaining Strokes... Knights of Cydonia will do me very nicely thank you!

Muse begin work on fifth album

Matt Bellamy and co start writing songs for next release

Thu 29 May, 2008

Great news! Muse will have fun trying to tour a 5th album though. I mean, their current set is bursting with classic tracks so what classics will they leave out to put the new ones in!! Nice dilemma to have though.

Radiohead speak out against 'Greatest Hits' album

Thom Yorke asks: 'What's the purpose?'

Fri 09 May, 2008

The CD collection holds little interest for me as I own more or less all of Radiohead's output from the Drill E.P. to In Rainbows, but the DVD of all their videos is going to be well worth having as none since the "7 TV Commercials" set have been made available.

Saw this on MTV2, and it is a very powerful piece of film. Thom has sort of given the ending away here but all the same, the music and film work really well together, and it does really make you think.

Radiohead to release 'Best Of' compilation

See what tracks have made the cut

Wed 02 Apr, 2008

Comments (1)

I think this is a good shot at a "Best of" for newcomers to Radiohead. Tracks like 'Climbing up the Walls', 'Morning Bell, 'Kid A' and 'You and Whose Army would improve it but it's still OK, although a rarities collection would be better, which is where 'Pop Is Dead' belongs!!And gergbot, 'Talk Show Host' WAS a B side (to Street Spirit)...

I really enjoyed seeing Led Zeppelin at Knebworth in 1979 but Radiohead, Muse & Bowie all put them firmly in the shade both live and in the studio. 'Paranoid Android' & 'Knight of Cydonia' widdle on Stairway to Heaven.
