Star compares himself to Michael Jordan
Fri 14 Nov, 2008
You lot have misunderstood the comment I reckon. ''I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice'' - the voice that stands out the most. It doesn't mean he speaks for the generation, but that he is 'the voice', the most forthright if you like.

There are no guests, but HOVA is in fighting form on Pyramid Stage

I thought the intro was pretty fuckin funny. Jay was clearly poking fun in a light hearted manner... I don't think he cares too much about the adversity. I daresay Noel would have pulled out something equally as tongue in cheek if someone had raised issue with Oasis.. or maybe not, maybe he'd have just told someone to fuck off.

Rappers camp calls the PR stunt 'sleazy'
Fri 20 Jun, 2008
It is a ridiculous proposition; they were attempting to almost force him to change him name with charitable overtones; he won't refuse, they'd've thought, because it'd be bad PR for him to deny a charity some cash. They'd get the promotion from a huge music star, he'd been seen helping out a charity. Win-win? Very naive. 50 was right to decline on principle.

Great to see Eavis has booked Jay-Z, it'll make a change from three rock bands as was last year. I don't see why Jay-Z is any less credible or his music any less 'real' than, say, Radiohead, Muse or The Killers. Not everyone likes every kind of music, but I'm sure there'll still be a massive turn out to see the Jigga..I for one will be there
