Damon Albarn: 'Blur are reforming for rehearsals'

All four band members will reunite in 2009, says singer

I'm absolutely stunned that so many people are excited by this news. Who cares? Blur were garbage, as indeed most of the so-called 'Britpop' bands were. The return of Benny Hill style vidoes and cheeky mockney choruses. I can hardly contain my joy.Yawn.

Cream's Jack Bruce: 'Fuck off, Led Zeppelin, you're crap'

What a sad, bitter little man. I never even knew Cream reformed, and would not have given a fuck if I had known.Led Zeppelin are the greatest hard rock band in history. FACT!Eric Clapton is a dour, miserable cunt with less charisma than Jeremy Kyle.

We Are Scientists think Rage Against The Machine are pretentious

New Yorkers say bands shouldn't get political

Tue 26 Aug, 2008

Who are We Are Scientists? What have they ever done of any significance? Will anyone remember them in 10 years? To imply that Rage Against The Machine come across as fools stuck in their freshman year is a breathtakingly ignorant way to describe any Harvard graduate, never mind one of the most influential and original bands of the last 15 years. What is even more sad is that NME have posted their worthless views on this site.

Stop giving him grief; at least he's got a pair of bollocks, unlike the majority of modern 'stars'.If you don't like him, go and piss your beds whilst listening to Snow Patrol.

Who on earth would want to watch that? They were shite in 1985 at their terrifying 'bad boy' peak. Now they are just an embarassment.

Emo to be made illegal in Russia?

New laws planned to stop 'dangerous teen trends'

A number of the posts on here are truly repugnant. I now have no doubt that fascism could flourish in this country. Lets's take them all to a remote shower block and gas them to death for having funny haircuts! Ha Ha! Look at the one with the stupid fringe gasping for air!I am not an emo myself, in fact I find so-called emo music to be rather tame and dull. However, we are all different and if someone else enjoys it, then good luck to them.If I had a kid, I would much rather they were listening to emo that the majority of the manufactured bilge and limp-wristed, bed-wetting dross NME seems to love.Expressions of emotion and creativity should be encouraged, not mocked by neanderthals too stupid to understand them.

Kaiser Chiefs Ricky Wilson: 'Oasis have disappeared up their own arse'

Singer says his band are ready to replace legends

Sat 31 May, 2008

I almost feel sorry for the Kaiser Chiefs being such fake, middle class dorks.I live in Leeds and I have to say despite all their posturing, not one of them has a real Leeds accent, They are such nice, nice boys trying so hard to be bad.Oh yes, and they suck :-)

Zutons: 'everyone thinks Amy Winehouse wrote Valerie'

Band perform intimate afternoon gig

A tabloid muppet covering one of your songs. Yeah, best thing that could have happened. A moronic fake rebel pretending to be Sid Vicious, making watered down musak verisions of your material does wonders for your credibility.

Dave Grohl writes Metallica letter about new album

Foo Fighters star tells heroes: 'Don't release music until it's kick-ass!'

I have to agree that 'The Colour And The Shape' is the Foo's best album by far. I find myself really wanting to like their other albums, but never quite getting into them. That said, they are awesome live. I saw them at Leeds Town And Country Club on their first tour back in '95 and they rocked!I take sxpstl's point that Metallica have not banged the head that doesn't bang in a while, in that the last record was a bit of a let down. That said, there are some quality tracks on it like 'The Unnamed Feeling', 'Some Kind Of Monster' and 'St Anger'.Can't wait for the new album. Apparently it is gonna be similar in style to 'Master Of Puppets'.
