Who will win the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize?

the mercury prize tends to take turns with awarding it to the populist choice and the alternative choice, so I think having bowed to the public choice last year with the Monkey's I can't see them getting it twice, Same goes for Amy Winehouse, although giving it to her guarantees the prize getting a huge level of public exposure for them and the sponsors, but i don't think they would be that cynical!! My personal chocie would be bat for lashes, as the album creates an amzing atmosphere, and natasha khan has a stunning voice, however I've a funny feeling the klaxons will get the award, and new rave will become mainstream in time for the inevitable bandwagon jumping and backlash. Whoever does win it will be a worthy winner though, its strong line up so it will be a valid result. Nice to see brittish music is so strong and so varied at the moment
