Band to be honoured and play live at February's ceremony
Tue 28 Oct, 2008
Good call NME. The Cure have dominated my musical landscape for years. Now how about Super Furry Animals next year? :@) Young pups compared to The Cure I know, but their mightiness comes before them...Yours, a drunken SFA fan :@)

Fans attack paper for 'scapegoating bands' in emo coverage
Sat 31 May, 2008
Good on you guys. All this bullshit from some of the posts on here about it not being a worthwhile protest........ Indeed, on the same weekend The Mail on Sunday pushes it's sales with a MOR Genesis CD chucked into it's "what you need to like" lifestyle magazine, to get the media reaction you have had in The Mail's written statement says it all. Keep going - if you feel anything The Man does is unjust, protest. Simple as that.

Dave Gilmour not ruling out another one-off gig
Tue 27 May, 2008
Someone's seen the benefits following Led Zep's recent reforming just for one concert. Sold out tickets sales for the O2? Check.New Double CD Best Of Compilation to flog? Check.Oodles of people kissing your arse saying how great you are / once were across the entire media? Check. Am I being too cynical? I suppose Gilmore could being savy to the potential. It would be foolish to believe that some suits haven't tried to lure Pink Floyd onto the stage again. Or maybe he's waiting for the right over-inflated offer to be flung his way?

How is anyone supposed to make a rational judgement in a song contest when there are 25 of the strangle-inducing buggers squished together within 2 or so hours? It left me numb and slightly disturbed that Bosnia's entry was the only one that I could coherently remember at the end. And it's still in my head... help...

gaz_blanchard99 - I think the term "musicianship" should be irradiated for the lazy way people use it to justify unimaginative cock rock. Perhaps if RHCP fuck off for a while they may actually decide to return to the form they had when they first burst onto the music. They again, maybe not.

Bassist revives hopes
Thu 22 May, 2008
I was at the talk Alex did in Brighton last night as part of Brighton Festival and he was quite open when questioned about the reformation of Blur. To essentially confirm the above story, he hopes that it's a question of when not if. It would be also have to be as the complete four-piece. He was witty and charming throughout revealing - a likable guy obsessed with cheese. The only new thing I can add is that he also revealed that Blur were offered to headline Glastonbury this year - something he regrets didn't happen.

Have you seen that hand writing? Almost as bad as mine when I've been on pints of Star...Suffice to say - tabloid newspapers need to sell more copies on headlines and unfortunately Pete's made himself one.following his past. Smoke without fire? God knows...

Whoever goes to Glastonbury solely for the headlining bill is solely missing the point.Being dragged to the Pyramid Stage last year to watch The Arctic Monkeys and The Killers by the group I was with left me bored stupid longing for some fun. Yes fun.The night I spent in Lost Vagueness, mud and all on the other-hand however... :@)
