Mercury is terrible. If this is the record they've 'always wanted to make' i think they should go back to making music they DON'T want to make! Anyone with a laptop and a casio keyboard could come up with it and probably do a better job. No tune, no structure, meaningless lyrics...what the hell's happened?! Go and listen to Helicopter (or any of Silent Alarm), Hunting for Witches, The Prayer, I Still Remember etc, then listen to Mercury...i'm all for bands evolving but they've taken away what made them a top band in the first place as part of what seems to be a Kele Okereke ego trip.
