There are hundreds of young musicians working their balls off for a break and yet this fecking old hag and her male counterpart, Pete Doughnut, continually show no respect for their fans but get more popular by the day. I despair, I really do :-(

Bruce Springsteen 'furious' with Ticketmaster

The Boss speaks out against ticket monopoly scam

Thu 05 Feb, 2009

And don't think it doesn't happen here.Check out Get Me In, a partner to Ticketmaster who have a good selection of tickets for the Mott The Hoople reunion gigs starting at over £80 a pop. It's a f**king disgrace, especially as almost all the Stalls tickets for the 3rd night appeared to have been sold even though the gig had not been officially advertised? You can, of course, get some from Ticketmasters partner site for over £200 Someone, somewhere needs to address this NOW - Come on NME, take up the mantle!!

Having heard said album I can confirm that it is way up there with their best. By that I mean ther is two or three instant clasics and a bunch of dross. Mind you, I can't wait to see them live again.

Led Zeppelin to replace Robert Plant?

According to reports Jimmy Page and co. have been rehearsing with a new singer

Mon 13 Oct, 2008

Comments (1)

This is so wrong!!Myles Kennedy is one of the best classic rock style vocalists around at the moment but not for Zeppelin.I have the utmost respect for Plant to appreciate that his work with Alison Krauss is more important to him. Having seen them together, I can tell others that he is performing at the highest level with a sense of dynamics and control in his voice that few could match as well as introducing a new genre to many out there. It's not that crazy really as Zeppelin always had folk undertones..I love Zeppelin but this is a total "cash cow" as it is not really anything like Zeppelin without Bonham and Plant. Of course, I would love to hear the clasics again but it's just a corporate exercise and rubs against the principles of rock and rollHowever, I am really excited about the potential Faces and Mott The Hoople reunion rumours.

Download headliners Kiss: 'Fans have killed the record industry'

Gene Simmonds says band won't release new songs until downloading stops

Tue 17 Jun, 2008

Err no. I think the corporations that want to round up and promote their artists for extortionate prices at their own venues are the real villains here. Having paid £130 for a very patchy lineup at Download that did not deliver a value for money lineup, can you really expect me to pop into a large record store and pay £13 for an old Kiss CD. The disposable income is just not there anymore. I agree that downloading illegaly is not the answer but the onus is on the music industry to provide the product at a price that is acceptable.I wonder how much KISS were paid as headliners last weekend. As I mentioned above, the overall Download lineup was very poor as far as big names are concerned. Thank God for some of the small unknown bands who were probably paid a pittance if they didn't have to pay themselves to play for it was these guys that made the weekend bearable for me.

Some interesting additions here. Great to see The Music alive and kicking again and an interesting Dance lineup.Gallows deserve the headline slot and surely Frank Turner is destined to be one of the highlights of the weekend (as long as he doesn't get drowned out by the sound from the Main Stage).Anyway, Rage are back and that is all that matters!
