albumental speaks a lot of sense. There will always be a part of me that will always be interested in Oasis but i can't help feeling they are past their prime (Def Maybe/Morning Glory). Be Here Now was more or a less a mistake. Standing On The Shoulders...despite half the album being dodgy was better, i liked the direction they were going in. Heathen Chemistry wasn't bad but i felt a step back for them, felt like watered down Ole Oasis. Don't Believe.. just never grabbed me, i was severely disappointed when i first heard Lyla. Anyway, despite their best being way behind them there is a place for Oasis and i'll still be attending gigs when they come to town i just doubt i'll be excited as i used to be at new material.

I really do wish i was excited about this album. I at one point was a massive Oasis fan, spending stupid amounts of money on travel n'such to go and see them. But since Be Here Now i've been very half/half about them until Don't Believe The Truth. This album won't be anything especially different, it'll be usual Oasis. Even I got tired of hearing blatant rip-offs of other bands, it got to the point (for me anyway) where it went far beyond homage and was just convenient referencing. I'll listen to it though, i'm not totally off them. It's just kinda how long can they tread their musical ground as this won't be anything new at all. But still, more power to 'em, they earned their place and they're the ones laughing at the end of the day after all.
