Glad to see other people agreeing. Milburn had talent and had some good songs that with the right guidance and direction could have been huge. Instead magazines such has NME slammed them as Arctic Monkeys wanna-be's. It was really unfair on them, and my view of the NME has never been the same since.Even in an article about Milburn the writer feels it necessary to include the Arctic Monkeys. Fact is Milburn were doomed to fail from the moment everyone jumped on the Arctic band wagon. Any songs that sounded similar or had a similar style (despite acutally being better and wrote first) were slammed has copies. The NME once dedicated their front cover to Nu-Yorkshire and praised the music coming from Leeds, Sheffield and surrounding areas. Contributing to where the Arctics, Kaiser Chiefs, Cribs and the Pigeons are now. But they left Milburn behind and in my opinion started the dowfall.Heres to Milburn, the Academy gig is going to be absolutely amazing."It's closing time and it's getting lateCan you fetch my coat cause I don't feel too great... anymoreBut I want to stayDon't you want to stay as well?I don't think that you doI've got this funny feeling that you don't feel like I doThis conversation's just passing you byI know it, I can see it in your eyes"

Although it appears to have been on the cards for a while now, it seems a little ironic that NME release this story (late), when it is in fact the NME that slammed Milburns album "Well, Well, Well".I saw the band several times and they were a class above most other "indie" bands at the time.
