Hi. I'm a fan of the indie music and would just like to explain what makes a band not relevant. I feel I need to explain this as every time the name Oasis is mentioned on here then people get very very upset because they are not relevant. Right, if you are in a band that has sold millions upon millions of records, have a loyal and adoring fanbase worldwide who love your music and whose life is better because of it, have 7 consecutive number 1 albums, sell out Wembley Stadium 3 nights in a row, influence and inspire countless bands, and get people who don't even like you to read news about you and comment on it then you are certainly not relevant. Just thought I'd clear that up.

I like many others on here would like to know what the jumped up "lets take everything very seriously" brigade mean when they say Oasis are irrelevant. What do they class relevence being? The fact that they get so upset about every single word that comes out of Noels mouth makes me smile, they must have a bit too much time on their hands to be so worried about the thoughts of a guitar player. People were even sticking up for Mick F******* Hucknall over Noel on here cos Simply Red had a number 1 in America and Oasis haven't! What the hell is that? As for breaking America (I hate that term btw), the last tour of the states involved gigs at Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl and Red Rocks. Dig Out Your Soul went to No. 5 in the album charts. Do these things not count? Oasis have and still influence the sound of countless bands in this country, every band who gets asked to support them jumps at the chance. And again, if you don't like Noel, don't read what he says, how hard is that ffs?!!

Why do certain people have to get so mightly offended by every word that comes out of Noels mouth? Every single time he has a pop about some band or other or says anything at all really people get so upset. It's just his opinion, I thought we were allowed to have one still. If you don't like him then why do you care what he thinks? Why read what he says? Half the time he is just taking the mick to wind people up and people always fall for it. Damian Shaw, you seem not to like Oasis at all so why keep buying their records and comparing them to the last one? Oasis changed music in this country end of. Every successful band of the past ten years have credited Oasis with getting them to pick up a guitar. Libs, Arctics, Kasabian, Glasvegas etc etc. So I think Noel has a right to say if he likes a band or not without people having steam come out of their ears.
