It is odd that his band mates all cleared the area under the moving "prop". They immediately went to their "marks" up on the drum riser (watch any of the videos) as Michaels lingers basking in the glory. This is live TV when the stage Mgr says go the things happen & they happen fast.He has been around long enough to realize how an awards show works. He was showboating & he got caught, plain & simple.
