I suspect that the main reason for this prosecution getting to this point is may have something to do with the fact that the record company realises Chinese Democracy is a terrible record and anyone who shares it exposes its dreadfullness to potential buyers without them having to pay any of the enormous development costs back. Imagine if you'd have bought the bastard thing after waiting for 18 years or whatever it was. It's a bit like finding out that your long awaited Christmas present that you hoped and prayed was a new bike is actually a turd on a stick. And a thorny stick at that.
