This lot are going out of their way to get a rise out of their haters, surely. An annoying bunch of blokes with an even more annoying fan base. You know, I was given a ticket to see them in Crystal Palace just after X&Y came out. As far as their performance went, it was actually quite good but the crowd were weird. No singing, no dancing, no movement and my friends were getting some very confused looks for singing along. I've been to plenty of gigs in my time but this was definatly the most atmosphereless. Nearly even got into a fight with a Coldplay fan for moving closer to the stage to see (a bizzarre one) Supergrass who were supporting. This silly gentlemen was obviously not used to all this 'gigging' carry on and was starting to get a little ticked off at the whole waiting for the band thing. Maybe he was hungry but all the same he grabbed me by the neck and screamed into my face that he'd been "queing all day" to be in that spot. Says it all really doesn't it. Muppets.
