Blink-182's Travis Barker defends plane crash lawsuit

'If something goes wrong you should be compensated' says drummer

Tue 25 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

What a complete tool. " I can't go swimming, I can't do certain things..." wah wah wah. Your friends were killed in the crash and you complain about not being able to go for a swim? Fuck off and count your blessings not the cheap dollars you could make, asshole. Another example of shameful "where there's a blame, there's a claim" behavior. It was a horrible accident which sometimes unfortunately happens. Be a man and get on with your life.

Coldplay announce UK stadium tour with Jay-Z

Band set for giant UK dates next year

Mon 24 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

Hahaha, i'm loving the anti-Coldplay comments on here, they're quite funny. Mainly because they're blatantly "i'm so alternative and anti-mainstream i'm gonna have a pop at Coldplay cuz they're big and stuff and then people will think i'm cool and underground".I don't mind either act really, no doubt this'll be a huge set of shows as both acts are incredibly popular. This is a tout's dream right here.

NME Cool List 2008 announced

Find out who made the cut and have your say on this year's run-down

Tue 04 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

Another list of mostly flavour of the month, soon to be has-beens. In two or three years time, the mention of most of these names will draw a blank from everyone. Cool for me = talent, and only a couple on this list have it. The rest are poser trendy tossers who will thankfully soon disappear into obscurity.

AC/DC album downloaded 400,000 times despite no digital release

'Black Ice' proving popular online

Mon 13 Oct, 2008

Comments (1)

Good to see people are still interested in them. Hopefully these music fans will buy the album after hearing it to show their support to the band. I have no problems with illegal downloading as long as you still support the band you listen to by buying the albums and going to the shows. Otherwise you're just as bad a tout. Touts rip-off the fans, illegal downloaders who don't show their support rip-off the bands. It's a two-way thing.

Glasvegas slight favourites to beat Metallica to Number One

In all fairness, the Glasvegas album has been out all week whereas Metallica's album has been out in SOME shops both yesterday and today, and most fans didn't even know this. Tomorrow is the official release date for the Metallica album.I expect Glasvegas will be number one this week and Metallica next week.

Mark Ronson to produce second Rumble Strips album

Plus the band have signed to Ronson's label

Tue 12 Aug, 2008

Comments (1)

I'm not sure if the turd you're referring to is the band or Ronson. If it's the former then you can shut the hell up. The Rumblestrips are a great band who just haven't had enough coverage from the music media, hopefully this will give them the publicity they need to boost their profile as they deserve it. They have the tunes, the live ability and the song writing talent to not have to depend on Ronson's undeserved fame to get places. Good luck to them.

Naked Beth Ditto NME cover up for award

Classic shot included in 'best magazine cover' shortlist

Tue 09 Sep, 2008

Comments (1)

Why is this up for an award? Obesity is not something we should celebrate as it is just as bad as having anorexic models on magazine covers. Obesity is just the polar opposite of size zero, neither of which are healthy in the slightest. I imagine there are people out there who see this picture as a 'fuck you' to the companies who put un-naturally skinny girls on mag covers, but it really is just as bad.Lose some weight love, not just for your own health but for the obese people out there who are under the illusion that being grossly overweight is 'natural'... it isn't. Harsh but fair I feel.

Sex Pistols' John Lydon makes Duffy cry – Daily Gossip

Wed 18 Jun, 2008

It doesn't surprise me that he does things like this. He's long resorted to pathetic little angry faux-punk tantrums to get his name in the papers. He stopped being relevant about 30 years ago and knows he has to resort to this crap, as well I'm A Celeb..., to keep up his profile. Funny how stories like this emerge as soon as they announce another 'one off special reunion' gig in London AND hint that they may make another album. Nowadays, he's about as punk as pikachu.

Radiohead world tour first night: fans' verdict

Fans who went to the band's Florida show have voiced their opinions

Wed 07 May, 2008

Comments (1)

I agree with that guy's comments about talking through gigs. It's a growing trend which is utterly baffling to me. Why pay so much money to go to a gig and then have a conversation throughout the whole thing? Go to the pub if you fancy a chat, not a gig where other music fans have to put up with it. Clowns.

Jay-Z to headline Roskilde festival

Jay-Z to join Radiohead and Neil Young in Denmark

Wed 16 Apr, 2008

Comments (1)

Well Roskilde is in Denmark for starters, that hardly an easy alternative for British festival goers is it? Secondly, the fact that he's headlining Roskilde shows that it's not a Glasto only so-called 'mistake'. He's capable of headlining the biggest festivals worldwide. Thirdly, so what if he's headlining O2 Fest as well? Others have done it before so why bring this point up against Jay Z? Finally, I take it you'd rather have one of the same big name indie bands headlining AGAIN? Boring.Stick to your guns Eavis (and no gun related rap references please, no pun was intended).

To hell with anyone who'd prefer some hyped-up, middle-of-the-road overrated indie garbage to headline. Whether you like hiphop or not, Jay Z is one of the biggest names in music today and has helped push his genre into new directions with his mixture of sounds. Hats off to Michael and co. for going against the grain and trying something new. The only people who complain about his appearance are those who are not in tune with what the festival really is...

Government Committee recommend 'legitimising' ticket touts

New report says promoters should get a cut of re-sold tickets

Thu 10 Jan, 2008

Nothing better than a government trying to re-establishing public trust by pointing out obvious bits of information and showing how out of touch they are. On top of that, researching this piece of common knowledge has probably cost the tax payer tens of thousands of pounds. Music fans have been calling for action for years and years and all they have to say is "We need to look into it". Thanks for that.

Radiohead branded 'one trick pony' by Tool

Maynard James Keenan attacks 'In Rainbows'

Tue 20 Nov, 2007

Comments (1)

Maynard is right. Radiohead were heading down a great path but they shot themselves in the foot when they announced that they'd be releasing a higher quality downloadable version of In Rainbows, AND when the cd comes out it'll have bonus tracks. Those who paid for this download have just been crapped on. 'According to Radiohead's manager: "If we didn't believe that when people hear the music they will want to buy the CD then we wouldn't do what we are doing." Ouch. Radiohead was moving in the right direction, but if they really want to start a revolution, they need to place the "pay-what-you-want" digital album on the same content and quality level as the "pay-what-we-want" physical album.'

Led Zeppelin reunion: full details here

Find out where, when PLUS how to get tickets for the band's reformation

Wed 12 Sep, 2007

Comments (1)

Pathetic. £125 a ticket is ridiculous. I don't want to hear any 'but it's for charity!' comments. You can't use charity as an excuse to jack ticket prices up to this insane price when members of the band in question are multi millionaires themselves. If you want to make money for charity boys, donate from your own pocket. £125 a ticket practically guarantees that the audience will consist entirely of well-off middle class professionals, whilst the working class music fans of the country have to do without. Led Zep! You DO have fans out there who can't afford such horrific prices to see you live. Start thinking about them!
