Noel Gallagher: 'Radiohead have been making the same record since 'Kid A''

Oasis man still loves the Oxford band though

Actually if any of you bothered to read beyond the headline Noel is defending the Oasis sound being accessible rock music. His point is that people see his band as a band that doesn't evolve and yet see Radiohead as this cutting edge band when in fact they haven't put anything groundbreaking out since OK Computer. I own every Radiohead album and when I listen to Kid A versus In Rainbows it's all very interesting electronic experimental music but the two records are very similar to each other. The same can be said about Hail to the Thief and Amnesiac. There is far more ground covered between Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer. Also, de-valuing Oasis because they aren't experimental is ridiculous. Anybody can hire Nigel Godrich to make them sound groundbreaking; it's much harder to make something resonate with the average listener like Oasis do and like Radiohead did until Kid A.
