Jess_a, you made me lol. Name a band who will have a lasting legacy 14 years after their debut album has been released from one of the so called better bands of today! Odds are you can't because no band has longevity anymore, the Arctic Monkeys are nothing more than a flash in the pan band. The Kaisers are just as bad, hell any band who surface now don't have much of a chance to survive 14 years after their debut album. And as for Wonderwall being crap you have to be kidding me! What songs have made the songwriter a millionaire four times in one week? What song STILL gets a crowd singing along 13 years after it was released. I could go on but I'm not going to.

Elliott_Decihells, you have got to be fucking well kidding me. Do you actually listen to proper music or are you quite happy to idly listen to a bunch of pre pubescent public school, spotty nosed herbert's who dance around to casio keyboard demos. Oasis churn the same shit out. Okay, you take an E, A, D and G chord progression and make something original being as you so look like a musical genius. You're full of crap, and as for the £2.50 Paul Weller haircut, grow the fuck up. Weller has stood the test of time for 30 years now and no one cares about his haircuts or anything like that, it's all about the music, unless your a pretentious art student wanker who buys into all the corporate bullshit that the independent among us wish to believe. What you follow is that of sheep, independent is long gone from the music scene. And then you say Ian Brown doesn't vary his style, listen to Golden Greats and then The World is Yours, you will find both albums to be very different in style, therefore proving that point wrong.
