Kings Of Leon sell out biggest ever gig in 'seconds'

All tickets for Hyde Park show are snapped up this morning (Feb 19)

Fri 19 Feb, 2010

@TimIt works when certain employees of the ticket company puts some tickets to one side to resell directly onto the 2nd market, and also the armchair touts buying as many as they could in the pre-sale. Get on bands mailing lists and keep your ear to the ground to hear about pre-sales.But £55 facevalue (post fees), it was cheaper for Blur!

'X Factor' winner Alexandra Burke to claim UK's Christmas Number One

Jeff Buckley to enter UK Top Ten with 'Hallelujah' too

Tue 16 Dec, 2008

Comments (1)

To Joebaia:Out of the 5 X-factor winners so far, only Ward has released an 'original' song for their debut hit (and even that was a westlife reject). Agreed, it needs to end, the artists need to write their own songs not get a team of writers to do it for them.

Killers' UK and Ireland arena tour sells out in hours

All the tickets for the jaunt have been snapped up

Fri 10 Oct, 2008

"Perhaps the NME could run a campaign????????", two or so years ago the NME did run a campaign to try and get restrictions put on the secondary market. In all honesty the only way a fair system will work is a lottery-style, in which you register for the gigs you want to get tickets for within a week's period, and if your lucky to get selected you get an invite to purchase tickets within a deadline period of 7 days, with the remaining tickets going on general sale.

Radiohead reveal more album tracklisting clues

The band hint at the inclusion of 'Up On The Ladder'

Wed 26 Sep, 2007

Comments (1)

Most bands would announce the track-listing at once, but not Radiohead one of the most pretentious bands around. If the album is finished and your happy with it, get it released instead of sitting on it, the longer you wait the less fans you will have.
