I can't believe some of you people actually think it's kinda cool to ban emo. I don't care much for emo, but surely one's style should be a matter of personal choice? If our gov't banned, say, heavy metal (which I totally bloody hate), I'd be the first to start listening to Slayer (check that, better yet Cannibal Corpse:). Ah well, maybe being from a former Soviet republic gives you a better perspective on such things. BTW, as far as I'm concerned, suicide should also be a matter of personal choice; trying to prevent people topping themselves by outlawing their lifestyle is akin to fighting the AIDS epidemic by banning condoms (on the assumption that this would scare people into celibacy). And all you people cheering for the Russians, I've got 2 things to ask you: a) are you as enthusiastic about the fact that 50% (!) of MODERN-DAY Russians named Stalin as the greatest Russian ever? and b) why do you bother reading the NME in the first place? I'd have thought http://www.faithalone.org/ would be more your thing.
