Nice one Beck. Can't wait to hear the new Fiery Furnace song "How come it takes us ages to write stuff that is mediocre at best, whilst genuinely talented people we try to insult can do it so much quicker and better?". As an aside, having checked the Fiery Furnaces myspace page, I'm dissapointed to learn of Jason Lowenstein's involvement. That man used to have talent. And what kind of furnaces are not fiery anyway? It's like calling yourself "Wet Waters".

Tue 06 Oct, 2009

Ha! Not knowing there was a minium payment and processing fee means he didn't even buy it himself! Where's your responsibility to the bigger bands then? Besides, surely its more selfish to expect to get paid top dollar? This guys just an apologist for his own lack of sales and/ or talent* (*delete as applicable)

My dear Eggman, please do not assert that this is simply about Arabs with rockets and suicide bombers. Do do so whilst attempting to chastise and deride another for ignorance is most absurd.Surely you must understand there are two sides to every story? To ignore the historical context gives no justice to anyone suffering in the region. Do not ignore the 1939 White Paper, The Peel Commission, Haganah, Etzel, Lehi, Operation Agatha, UNSCOP, Irgun the 1947-48 Civil War, Palmach, Ben-Gurion etc etc etc... They are all still relevent to the cause and effect in the region yet completely ignored my contemporary news reports. To sum up 60 years of conflict as the actions of the last remainders of one side playing trapped in endgame limbo is ignorance of the highest order.I'd recommend a history book before getting sanctimonious with the sanctimonious rockstars.Peace.

Pumpkins is the brand by which Corgan can guarantee a modicum of sales.Solo or as Zwan he's just not worth shit. And his voice is the weakest i've ever heard by a landslide (coming in close second is the guy from that Irish band who thought they were the Beach Boys and had a song with an instrumental break that was the Mork and Mindy theme... The Thrills I think they were called. The No Marks they should have been called). And the production on Melloncollie... totally ruins the album for me (even moreso than the images of Muppets as I hear the vocal).Corgans middle name should be "Lucky".
