The sheer hatred of Oasis on here beggars belief. There are far worse bands out there. Anyone listened to 'In Rainbows'?

the week after Oasis. Pity Ricky didn't have the balls to back up his claims that the Kaisers have usurped Oasis as ''Britiains Greatest Band''. Still, an album to look forward to

Coldplay follow Oasis with Thursday album release (June 12)

Is 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends' the new 'Be Here Now'?

Coldplay's album is sounding quite brilliant i must say. Comparing it to Be Here Now though is a bit over the top. When Be Here Now came out it was lorded as confirmation that Oasis were as good as anything that had come before, the buzz surounding it was unbelievable. Coldplay won't sell 1 million records in 10 days in Britain, torrents has made sure that won't happen. Coldplay have also lost some of their buzzability because of the slightly underwhelming 'X&Y'.

liking the sound of the album so far. clearly not attempting to sounds like Radiohead. Radiohead have been poor ever since OK Computer. Coldplay actually try to make music that has some melody and decent singing

1 gig in front of a decent crowd and they think they are in the same league as Oasis!? I liked it better when Ricky was a brown nose to Liam Gallagher, being happy to be on the end of Liam's ''bad Blur'' jibe.

Gregblade05, that last line is so chichéd. on the rest of your comment, the cat at home knows that Noel can't write albums as good as the first 3/4 anymore. nobody should expect them or else you will only be disappointed. Glasto '04 didn't seem great but then i wasn't there

a good indication the album is finished. Noel wouldn't book a tour without finishing an album. He did it for SOTSOG and hasn't stopped saying it was mistake since
