Noel Gallagher quits Oasis after Paris 'altercation'

Guitarist walks after gig cancellation

Fri 28 Aug, 2009

Comments (1)

Oasis were past their best a long time ago. 12 years by my watch. The last album, for people that had grown up with them was embarassing. It shows that they haven´t developed at all. I´ve also noticed on this Oasis "round" that they´ve been cashing in as much as they can, which has also turned me off. I like many former Oasis fans thought to myself what is the point of going to see them? What are they going to do that is new? Nothing is the answer. But this is all a publicity stunt anyway. Noel will do his solo album, and then two years later, Oasis will "triumphantly" reform. And the masses will buy tickets in their droves. They have sold out more than any band I can think of. The only saving grace is that Noel on his own might be able to write some good songs again.

Paul McCartney makes MPs expenses protest

Former Beatle refrained from voting in European Parliament elections

Wed 10 Jun, 2009

Comments (1)

This whole expenses thing is shameful, but it is indicitive of a floored system more than sleazy MPs. The simple answer is pay them more, and scrutinize their expenses more closely. It seems to me abusing expenses was an unspoken thing that everybody knew about. Most of these MP´s have sacrificed well paid jobs as Barristers to become MPs and so they should be paid accordingly. It´s a preety thankless task most of the time.I don´t think McCartney, who is worth close to a billion pounds is any position to talk. It riles me that he thinks he´s some sort of socialist- tight more like.

Noel Gallagher: 'Oasis is a rudderless ship'

Guitarist reveals troubles in the band's camp

Mon 04 May, 2009

Comments (2)

Oasis have been a "rudderless ship" since 1996. Churning out the same old crap- and that´s coming from a former fan. Noel is just playing to the press because maybe some of the stadium dates haven´t completely sold out, so he wants to make people think this will be it- same old Noel, and the press always buy his bull shit.Would it be a great shame if Oasis split up? Not really, although that will never happen because Noel and Liam will always make more money together than apart, and money is all they care about.Just take a look at Liam´s clothes line- WTF? Is that the same Liam Gallagher from the early nineties? The man who flicked fag ash at Mick Jagger? No it isn´t, it´s a Liam Gallagher used to being a millionaire, and is worried the last album didn´t sell that well, because it is crap.

Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood to reform Faces

Wed 12 Nov, 2008

I don't see the point in this. I'm no Rod Stewart fan, but I'm guessing he plays the main faces hits on his solo tour. Who gives a toss if Ronnie Wood joins? He should stick to his other dinosaurs that haven't written anything decent for 30 years, The Rolling Bones.

Noel Gallagher: 'Radiohead have been making the same record since 'Kid A''

Oasis man still loves the Oxford band though

Fri 07 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

Oasis have been a let down since WTSMG. A few good songs here and there, but the facts speak for themselves, how many recent songs were on Stop The Clocks? 1 or 2. Radiohead bore the tits off me. They might write intricate intelligent songs, but they have the charisma of a freshly dug grave. Their fans piss me off as well. They think anyone who doesn't appreciate Radiohead doesn't know music. I do know music, and I don't get any buzz from Radiohead.

Brian May disappointed with Guns N' Roses' 'Chinese Democracy' 'snub'

Rumours suggest guitarist's contribution has been taken off the album

Thu 06 Nov, 2008

Comments (2)

Fantastic. As I've said many times, Brian May should be ashamed for sullying the name of Queen to boost his gigantic ego. Not only has he lost respect from the general public, but now from his fellow musicians. He should go back to writing jingles for car adverts. He's about as Rock and Roll as a Stanner stairlift.

Haha, great. Also reaffirming my opinion that the reason Plant won't agree to a reunion tour is because his voice ain't up to it anymore. Zeppelin are overrated in my opinion. Although Jimmy Page is and always will be a phenominal guitarist.

Led Zeppelin to tour with Robert Plant replacement

Band confirm they are after a new singer

Tue 28 Oct, 2008

Comments (4)

Is this April the 1st? How ridiculous. Plant's voice is half of what made Zep who they were. It simply isn't Led zeppelin without him. What the others have done, is completely isolate themselves from Plant, he will never join them again now, and so hopes of a proper Led Zeppelin reunion have been completely destroyed. It's like Queen without Freddie Mercury- travestyInxs without Michael Hutchence- desperateOasis without Liam Gallagher. These people don't need the money, so why don't they just do their own thing individually? However, I think Plant is a grumpy old sod for not agreeing to a few dates. Something has definitely ruffled his feathers- literally feathers with his dated haircut.

Beatles' Ringo Starr tells fans to stop writing to him

'I've got too much to do' says drummer in online video

Mon 13 Oct, 2008

Comments (1)

What an ungrateful sod!!He's bloody lucky to get any fan mail anyway, seeing as he is about as talented as a slinky. He was in the right place at the right time with The Beatles. They could have been so much better had they had a decent drummer. Now he hasn't got time to sign things. I can understand him not wanting to sign things for companies selling on Ebay, but for real fans?He seems like such a miserable old man these days. Probably cos he looks at the millions he has in the bank and thinks that he doesn't deserve them. Even his son Zak is a much better drummer than him. Even now when I hear his terrible voice on yellow sub, or any other song he has sung I skip as soon as is physically possible.

Oasis 'ripping off Sir Cliff Richard'

Sir Cliff's fans accuse the Manchester band of taking inspiration from their idol

Mon 06 Oct, 2008

Comments (1)

They've ripped off everyone. At least when they ripped off Imagine (don't look back..., Get it on (cigs and Alcohol, The solo from Stairway to heaven (Live forever) they did it with swagger, now they do it because they have lost all creativity. Their last video again with the same old Beatles imagery, but this time they decided to rip off the stones cover for Hot rocks at the beginning of the vid as well. I'm glad it didn't go to number one. I think it's their worst first single release from any album. Can they not come up with any original ideas at all? I think all they think about is the money now. They're about as far removed from their Burnage roots at it is possible to get. It's a slick money making machine, that's all. They've become a cliche of themselves, maybe they became a cliche ten years ago.Not in a great rush to buy the new album. They haven't written a bonafide hit that can compete with their first two albums, and they probably never will.

The Bee Gees: 'We might return'

Tue 24 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

I think the Queen stuation is an absolute disgrace. Bryan may should be ashamed of himself for sullying the reputation of a great band. He should accept that Queen was Freddie Mercury, and let it be. Not only is he screwing every penny out by licensing Queen songs to crap adverts, and taking the piss with the musical, he carries on for some reason touring as Queen. Oh, and then there was the legendary appearance with Five! Do these people really need more money, or are they just bored of their tits?Another example, Inxs carrying on without Michael Hutchence, Bunch of Fucking idiots.

Led Zeppelin to tour in 2009?

Jimmy Page hints at more shows again

Wed 18 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

Why can't they just leave us with the memories of the great shows they did in the seventies? The explosion of reunions is testament to the fact that modern music is not on par with the greats of yesteryear. I think the reason why Led Zeppelin are not performing now, goes back to the fact that their is animosity between Plant and Page. It used to be Plant badgering page to tour, and to get back together, but page for so long didn't want the name of led zeppelin mentioned. I should know know because he used to live near me in Hampshire. He would simply leave the room if you tried to talk about led zeppelin to him. He did however make a cameo in a local pub once, which was preety special.
