Group assures fans there will be a new album
Thu 16 Jul, 2009
So they write their own stuff, and one of them can play the guitar (not very well, by the way) ? Who cares? When they produce a song even 10% as good as Biology, Swinging London Town, It's Magic or Wild Horses, come back and comment

Vickers is actually alright. They should get her singing some indie-ish songs and she might make a couple of good records.

Bowie and Weller make up, but the Dame has a dig at Weller's barnet
Thu 22 May, 2008
Read this week's Private Eye for an excellent article listing the claims The Sun have made about Bowie, only for Bowie to refute them almost straight away...

Consumer body calls for companies to stop hiding booking and postage fees
Thu 29 May, 2008
Wow, Nick Blackburn sounds like the sort of deluded idiot that puts people like me off attending gigs. No, if the gig is cancelled, you should not retain any booking fee. If you really feel you deserve £5 for....for what? I really don't know. Anyway, if you think you deserve this money, you should take the matter up with the promoters of the gig, the artists, the venue, or whoever is responsible. Not the punters.

I do hope it's better than Black Holes and Revelations, which earned plenty of undeserved plaudits, but in reality was woful and a long way short of (in particular) O.O.S. If it's a 50-minute symphony, I won't even bother....

Sun 11 May, 2008
Who wrote this? "Techno outfit have scored an unlikely UK number one album, knocking Madonna's 'Hard Candy' from the top." You have to tell us the actual name of the band, or it's a completely pointless article. The key piece of information, the reason we're reading the story, is absent!

Three good albums so far; no reason to suggest that this will be any different. At a time when Britain is producing a lot of sh*te indie/rock, at least these guys are continuing to fly the flag.Album title still reminds me of that Ricky Martin song though.

I'm greatly amused that Soundedd considers the Killers to be an acceptable headliner on the strength of two disappointing albums, but dimisses Kings of Leon despite three absolutely cracking albums.

Was that so funny you had to post it three times?Personally I love Coldplay. At a time when Britain is producing largely terrible indie/rock music, it's terrific that Coldplay are having worldwide success, even if they're too 'boring' for some.
