"Have you heard the news that you're dead?No one ever had much nice to sayI think they never liked you anywayOh take me from the hospital bedWouldn't it be grand? It ain't exactly what you planned. And wouldn't it be great If we were dead?Ohh dead.Wow, Anti-Suicide Indeed."These lyrics were taken out of context; the whole album is about people trying to deal with death in different ways. If you really listened, you would notice the sarcastic tone of the song. The whole album tells a story via various 'characters'. It does not tell people to commit suicide. I know from personal experience that something has to be very wrong with a person for them to even attempt something like suicide. Blaming a genre of music or a band is too simplistic. No one "made this girl commit suicide". The poor girl had so many things to deal with and felt like she could not reach out to anyone: MCR wasn't causing her problems. How could they be responsible? My heart goes out to her family and friends; and I wonder what they think about all this speculation and blaming.
