Lars, please don't compare this to ...And Justice For All. Yes, it had very dry production and no bass. If you try turning the bass up on your speakers they nearly implode from the guitar low end. That distinctive production was part of the charm of the album. Death Magnetic just sounds like a really low quality mp3 release. Listening to the Guitar Hero version blew my mind - I can actually hear Rob's bass lines, and Kirk's solos more like guitar and less like a wall of wah pedal induced terror.
