Jimmy Chamberlin speaks out about quitting Smashing Pumpkins

'I can't just cash the check,' says the drummer

Tue 24 Mar, 2009

SP were my favourite band as a teenager but they are just silly now. Everything up to MC&TIS was sublime, but since then it's just been Billy Corgan's ego getting in the way of any decent music. Chamberlin was a HUGE part of their sound on the early records.

U2 reveal new album tracklisting, artwork

The band will release first single from 'No Line On The Horizon' next month

Fri 16 Jan, 2009

I don't understand why people say they are sell-outs. Did they ever do anything to compromise their own sound to become more popular? No, their sound just happened to appeal to millions and millions of people! Jackpot! And as for being hypocritical about money, it's all relative. It depends what proportion they give away, not actual amounts.

Mark Ronson lashes out at Noel Gallagher

Producer hits back at Oasis leader over 'three chords' comment

Sun 17 Aug, 2008

Comments (1)

I don't like Ronson with all his horns etc, but Oasis haven't done anything good in over ten years. The new single doesn't even have a chorus. Anybody with half a brain knows that although Oasis do have some anthems to their name, in term of musicianship they are SO basic it's really rather awful... but who cares about that, since most people don't have half a brain, right?
