Mark Ronson lashes out at Noel Gallagher

Producer hits back at Oasis leader over 'three chords' comment

First of all, let me say that I'm indifferent. You people to can scream at each other and fucking hit each other with sticks over this insignificant twaddle for the remainder of eternity. I don't give a shit. But Gallagher's comments on Radio 1 were bang out of order. He deserved a kick in the balls for it. Why don't you shoot Amy Winehouse when she's down. I mean, everyone else important has, right? Ronson, while nowhere near as talented as Gallagher, proves her that he's capable of more than just saying 'yeah...he's a twat' in response. That's fine. Now will you people get off your fucking high horse (I'm sure Noel doesn't care that you support him on this) and get on with your lives.

Kasabian preparing 'hypnotic techno '60s road movie' album

Band speak about forthcoming third album

I'm all for Kasabian pushing rock music forward a bit, but to do that you really have to write some really good tunes. Empire wasn't the most consistent record. That said, I love them. I went to see them live and it was just amazing...ly loud. They have to stop kissing up to Oasis though. They do panda a fair bit.

The Hold Steady: 'Radiohead have lost the plot'

Band criticise Oxford quintet's pay what you want plan

Sun 17 Aug, 2008

Radiohead? Lost the plot? They never had a fucking plot. Since the Bends, all they've done is shit on their fans' faces and produce music that sounds like it was extracted from Lucifer's arsehole. Muse are good though; Oasis are too. 'Mon the Hold Steady! A band who (almost) know what they're talking about. Then again, to each his own.
