Rose knew full fucking well, that events such as Reading have curfews, and to keep the Festivals integrity, and keep on the right side of Reading Borough Council, and Berkshire County Council, the promoter has to stick to them. There are enough people in Reading that would like to see the Festival lose its licence, and its Old Has Been Wannabees like Axl Rose, and his Guns and Roses Tribute band, that put the Festival under a lot of pressure with the local residents. He knew about the curfew, he knew that by coming on an hour late it would cause a problem, and if he thinks that sitting on the main stage, accoustically, is rock and roll, then he is one deluded motherfucker. He knows, the best way, was to come out on time, give 2 hours of relentless Rock and Roll, and give a performance that Reading would have expected. ..... he didnt, he wimped off. Its artists like him, that jeopodise the Reading Festival, a festival that if steeped in history, and to be quiet honest, it really doesnt need Prima Donnas like Rose throwing tantrums, to a dwindling crowd, that chanted 'what a twat'!!!!!. Long live the Reading Festival, and fuck lazy shits like Rose. Fuck off back to your LA Mansion, and leave the Rocking to the likes of the Foos, Raidiohead, Chillis, et al.

I agree with Wire, Barlow is a superb writer. I dont particularly like his stuff, but there is no denying, the man writes and plays excellent pop songs.There are plenty of lightweight groups in this country that have squandered the adulation that have been bestowed on them by the NME and hard working fans alike, most if not all, would love to have 5% of the song writing skills of Barlow. And as for the comments about the 'Whole band going missing' how Crass and insensitive to Richey Edwards family and friends, that miss one of this countries great lyricists....you should be ashamed.Wire, Bradfield and Moore, stepped up to the table when Edwards went missing, and to my mind, have done an immense job, of producing albums and singles, lyrics and music, that is second to none, by any British band.Good luck to them.
