Beatles' Ringo Starr tells fans to stop writing to him

'I've got too much to do' says drummer in online video

Ringo has always been my favorite Beatle...today, I'm not so sure. Getting first out of the way that he might've been stalked or had some deeply personal reason for asking fans to stop corresponding (for arguement's sake we'll say in this case he's just sick of it)...He still owes more to years and legions of dedicated fans than a forty some second video telling them really, to "bugger off" with peace and love. After watching his "Send me no more stuff." video I'm convinced he had his fingers turned the wrong way in salute (if you're English you'll know what I mean). I've worked with throngs of old school stars and minus William Shatner and a few not-worth-men-tioning lesser demi-stars, the majority of them would get flattened by a bus if it came to their lives or a stadium full of fans. George Takei once almost crippled himself in a long distance run wearing shoes designed for him by a fan (who'd gotten the size just a little bit off). So, what exactly has you so busy... (too many hours playing with your yellow-ed submarine)? Would it cost too much to get a personal secretary? Forty-five minutes out of your day signing or too arthritic? With deep regret, two fingers to you too Ringo. Hope you feel the love, love love.
