Radiohead to release 'Best Of' compilation

See what tracks have made the cut

This was never going to work, was it now Parlophone. Old fans certainly won't buy it because they'll have all the tracks anyway, and new fans won't get the full Radiohead experience with just a list of tracks. Radiohead LPs generally work best as a whole body, and if it's just a collection of famous songs then, while they are all brilliant, they aren't going to have the same impact as a whole LP, heard the whole way through. Any new fans are better off getting The Bends as a great introduction.

The Enemy vs Alex Zane: read the radio show transcript

Band and Xfm DJ trade blows on air

The Enemy are a bunch of dicks with one good song. Alex Zane is a funny lad, granted a little sarcastic at times, but The Enemy just aren't talented. Their riffs have been done and almost all their songs are identical - just chugging riffs that sound like a poor man's Jam. Grow up, Tom, and apologise for being such a git.

Who will win the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize?

Have your say ahead of this year's announcement

I'd like to say Klaxons, but realistically it's between the Monkeys, Bat For Lashes and Jamie T, with prehaps Maps getting a look in. Somehow I don't think the View or Young Knives have a chance, both of their albums were far too mediocre.
