Kaiser Chiefs announce UK tour

Band hit the road this autumn for intimate dates

Mon 18 Aug, 2008

They will do a proper arena tour, I read on their website recently somthing along the lines of "we'll be back in the big rooms once you've owned the album a while", I guess they're just waiting to see how the album goes down. Mixed reviews I've heard. I predict a proper tour early next year but could be wrong and they may surprise us and announce one for the end of the year.

Oasis' UK tour sells out within an hour of going on sale

To be perfectly honest it was absolute chaos this morning to say the least. I was up and on the PC infact we had 3 laptops on the go trying to get tickets for the birmingham dates. After being stuck in a que onlinethat was quite literally going nowhere I just on the offchance at about 10:15 phoned up and was on hold for about 15mins and then luckliy managed to get through and purchased 4 standing tickets, I count myself to be very lucky! However I won't sleep soundly until the tickets arrive in the post and are safely in my grasp.

Ye morer less ye, I think it was "it's easier to thread a camel through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter", that was it more or less anyway. Lol this is all rather amusing, if we're fair it's probably best to say that yeah U2 have created some okay tracks but they are rather "over-rated giants" in the industry, the comments over greasy haired idiot that goes by the name of Geldof are great a man who what sang I don't like mondays with his fellow boom town rats and that's literally about it and has quite literally taken us all in and has lived off the back of live aid and various other events of a similar nature.

Illegal downloaders to be threatened by UK ISPs

New agreement will see downloaders 'warned by letter'

Thu 24 Jul, 2008

Comments (1)

I agree they should have testers like myspace etc and yes of course most people dowload the odd occasional track but heavy offenders should of course be pursecuted. I mean wake up and look at the facts. It's illegal therefore you don't have the right to do it anyway, you wouldn't steal a CD from a shop would you, yes it is the same thing! Secondly the artists deserve to be paid for their works. If you examine the facts and cultural trends also if people are forced to buy CDs they therefore will be most likely obtaining less music per anum thus they will have to make more careful selections of what music they chose to listen to consequently this will lead to a reaction from the artists and the industry whereby the quality of the music will have to be great in order for people to buy it.

Glasto-bound band say the rapper will be great at Worthy Farm

Wed 25 Jun, 2008

Jay-Z is terrible, and a terrible choice for Glastonbury! There is no debate. People claim to like him because they have bad taste and those that don'targue are too frightened to say anything that might be seen as not being PC. Rapping? Sampling? Really, be honest! Can't be good can it really.

I definately agree with "Soundedd" one of the arenas in brum is a must although perhaps the NEC Arena would be better than the NIA as the NEC tends to have a far better atomsphere. Can't wait for the new album either! Don't Believe The Truth was a great classic album so we're all expecting. Yeah and basically anyone who doesn't like Oasis quite clearly has no musical taste.

'Nearly 100 per cent of music fans copy music illegally'

I totally agreeth "Joe Bananas" here I think you've all or at least the majority of you you have missed the point in some way or another and are indeed being rather "naieve". In some ways this is all rather selfish just because you don't want to line the pockets of major bands and record companies, if we carry on with that attitude then we'll end up with a string of very poor local and pub singer style bands and God know's surely anyone with any sense has had enough of that. Plus this whole attitude is selfish really as you'd soon be complaining if after a hard day at work you found out that you weren't going to to get paid just because you're survices could be obtained elsewhere for nothing, where does it end really, why not steal from the shops as well just so you don't have to pay for it. I'm sick to death of the word "revolution" being used as well, what are we revolting against? I concede that yes I've personally borrowed the occasional CD of a mate or illegally dowenloaded the odd single track here and there but to go as far as a whole album is bloody rediculas. A true fan would send his/her money in order to be part of something unless music is no longer art and simply entertainment to us.

Kaiser Chiefs Ricky Wilson: 'Oasis have disappeared up their own arse'

Singer says his band are ready to replace legends

Sat 31 May, 2008

Comments (1)

LOL yeah yeah yeah, we've heard all this before just seems it's the lastest fashionable trend to slag off Oasis really. I'm a huge fan both bands but come on Ricky forget bands "dissapearing up there own arse", have a good look and the mirror and see who's talking out of there's. Two words Ricky, "Definately Maybe" so nothin' you say really matters where oasis are concerned. Plus I don't know about everyone else but I'm sick and tired of people not liking bands just because ty don't like the personalities of the band members because they're not your friends so why does it matter! Both bands are great, Kaisers are fantastic but oasis is oasis and kaisers will never be a patch on them.
