@gazmassie: if you had been reading the comments more closely, you may have noticed that he was referring to 'the mass of people travelling to one place'. If we were to take your 20 miles as being about average, assume that said fans will also be travelling back afterwards, and times that by 10,000 (which seems like a reasonable estimate for the attendance at their large shows), it totals a whopping 400000 miles. To illustrate- if you had a piece of string 400000 miles long, it would wrap around the Earth 16 times. This is what he was referring to; hope this clarifies.
