Jesus, why don't you find some interesting music to listen too. Would it kill you to look a little further afield than what's right in front of your noses? Coldplay are popular because their music is safe, non-offensive and easy to digest. Couple that with a huge marketing campaign, and you can guarantee a number 1 album. They seem to be perfectly happy with quantity over quality. If you want to talk about subtlety and nuances of sound, why don't you listen to some real quality, like Doves or Wilco, instead of being mindless bloody sheep.
