'A Brief History Of Love' set for a September 14 release
Thu 16 Jul, 2009
Have loved this band for over a year now but the last single was very disappointing, so glad to see that is not on the album. Set at Glasto was at best average but the closer Dominos was superb so happy to see that.

Music and DVD store is unable to stock its stores or sell music online
Fri 12 Dec, 2008
The problem with Zavvi and major music chains is that they have forgot why people go to music stores. Storing a zillion copies of the latest Take That album is not going to boost sales as people who buy those albums are more likely to buy it during their normal shop at Asda or Tescos. People go to music stores for variety and to listen to music they have not heard before. Most people are willing to pay the extra £1 to pick up a CD in store if they come across a more obscure gem.

Michael Eavis says rapper will top Pyramid Stage
Sat 02 Feb, 2008
Hating raping isnt' racism but the idea that rap isn't real music is unbelievably patronising. Jay Z's Blueprint can match the best of Radiohead (the latter band of which I am a HUGE fan). The only issue here is that Rap doesnt necessarily go down well live but as some people have said, glastonbury normally has 10 stages of music so if you dont like it, go see somebody else. I dont think Eavis is nuts enough to put 10 rap acts on at the same time. Last time I went to Glastonbury there wasnt enough people seeing new bands, this should hopefully bring in a new influx and perhaps break the white homogenity of festivals.

How has the news gone down with music fans across the world?

An important move personally as when I have been to Glastonbury there is such a dearth of young people there that this should encourage a new infllux. Its not unfair to say that older people tend not to see newer bands (or at least in the same numbers as youth). If Glastonbury doesnt move on it will become irrelevant.
