Kanye West literally did the bare minimum at his show in order to pick up his appearance fee."All Falls Down" has Syleena Johnson on vocals on the version that made it onto the album (after Lauryn Hill wouldn't clear hers) and although there was a female singer up on stage that cleraly wasn't Syleena, you could still hear her vocals loud and clear from the speakers.Things got stupid when Kanye did "Through The Wire" (left out of NME's set list above) which again had the backing singer on stage pretending to sing. For anyone who doens't know the original, it's Chaka Khan's "Through The Fire" sped up a touch that form most of this track... which was exactly what was heard through the speakers.Yes I know hip-hop is rapping over records, but Kanye was headling! He could have spent some of his cash on getting the music right, rather than hooking up his gold ladies which we saw 2 years ago at the Brits...Q-Tip came correct - full band, decent DJ(did Kanye even bring A-Trak?), good sound. Kanye is wicked, but he's getting self-indulgent.
