EMI release Art Brut single without telling band

Eddie Argos and co had no idea 'Pump Up The Volume' was out

No what happened was that the band knew Pump Up The Volume was there next single and had recorded a music video ( which is set on an fake Australian chat show). But then EMI decided to realise it as download only with out telling the band who had probably asumed it would be a normal release. You'd think a music news website would get the facts right but apparently not.
