Ryan Adams says he doesn't and never did like country music? Well I suggest he go back and listen to the first Whiskeytown album then.For someone who hates Country he did a hell of a version of Hank's "Lovesick blues".Ryan used to sound like the ghost of Gram Parsons, who wasn't ashamed to admit loving Country music.Good Country music.Ryan Adams is one of the few if not the only genius working in music today but for me it is the depth of the well of Country and roots/bluegrass that gives his brilliant songs such resonance.We all like a bit of metal Ryan and I am still Punk Rock to the core.Joe Strummer would have approved so don't deny your Country roots.A Grievous angel.
