Demand forces organisers to give festival-goers second opportunity
Tue 08 Apr, 2008
This just means things are back to normal after a few crazy years in which the festival sold out in a few hours. Up until 2002 it always took months. And the headliners have always been a bit rubbish - anyone remember the year of Stereophonics, Coldplay and Rod Stewart? Moby? And one grim year in the early 90s, Shakespear's Sister? I think Jay-Z is actually a good choice, something different; and while you'd have to be dead inside to want to sit through Kings of Leon or the Verve, there's loads of other stages and stuff going on. That's the point.
