Yet more proof that the NME has gone down the pan. Silent Alarm at 38 below Down in Albion? Dizzee Rascal above Arcade Fire? Give me a break, no wonder no-one reads this tripe anymore.

Billy Bragg is the only englishman to have ever mixed politics and music successfully. What an icon. Totally agree with dennisblandford, this is social history in the making. The world is literally being turned upside down, and his music is still the soundtrack. But fuck kate nash, seriously.

Good line-up but Glasvegas and White Lies are just about to go out on tour together, so whats the point in putting them both on the same bill for an even bigger national tour? Florence and Friendly Fires will be great though! Bring it to Exeter or Plymouth NME, you overlooked us last year dont do it again please!

Its very good, but not brilliant. I personally prefer the guitar based bloc party songs and get very bored by the slower ones. I dont believe they would hold the place in our hearts that they do had silent alarm used the same formula of slow/fast/slow/fast that the last two albums have. Kele seems determined to persevere with the more experimental slower stuff even though their rockier songs are what they plainly do best. Halo, Trojan Horse and Ares are fantastic, Bloc Party at their very best. But im underwhelmed by the vast majority of the rest of it. 7/10.
