Pixies 'in the dark' over new material

Frank Black admits band aren't making much progress with new recordings

Tue 21 Jul, 2009

Comments (1)

I'm sad to say but I'm losing respect for my all time favourite band. How many times can they keep playing the same old songs? This reunion has been going on for 5 years now and its becoming a joke.Even the new fans must be getting tired of it. I fear its just a money making machine now, they proved what they needed to prove in 2004-2005. Anything after that is simply milking it.

Blur close Glastonbury 2009 in epic fashion

The reformed band give the Pyramid Stage the perfect send-off - watch the video

Mon 29 Jun, 2009

Comments (2)

I found it quite depressing to see this 'hey lets relive the 90s' show' it was like watching a cabaret band reliving glastonbury moments of old. This is not Blur's fault, just the state of music today and its lack of epic new moments. I find it terrifying that kids today might have thought Pendulum were that moment...ugliest music I've ever heard.

This is one instance where the PRS have fucked up. Music videos online should never be liable for royalty payments as it is exceptional free promotion and exposure for bands. The record companies and artists know this and I bet they are fuming with the PRS. Now watch UK music sales drop, all thanks to the very society that should be protecting artists.

but when was the music industry ever 'trustworthy'? Their whole existence is to make money through manipulation. Its like a kid being left alone with that dodgy neighbour who once had those 'allegations'. haha the fact that Oasis still seem to be relevent in 2008 says a lot about how bumb Britain has become, Its chav music for low ambitious 9-5ers. Oasis fans have that same far away look in their eyes that pets have when you try and talk to them. Dumb as a bag of spanners.

Radiohead: 'In Rainbows’ is our classic album'

Thom Yorke compares new album to Beatles and Bowie

Thu 03 Jan, 2008

Comments (1)

ah so this explains the mainstream ticket prices for this summer's shows. Radiohead really are becoming U2. The new album is directionless and far from classic, its made up of bits that never got used on previous albums, he even admitted that they were directionless for this album.
