Lipgloss - I hear what you are saying, and i'd been reading NME for several years before oasis were the next best thing, indeed I loved Oasis once, but went off them because I got fed up with the arrogance and the increasingly idsappointing albums. For a few years after, they probably did sell copies of the NME, but I'm not sure that still applies. As for the comparisons with damon Albarn from other people, both noel and Damon plow their own paths but whilst Damon may not sell as many records, he sets out to investiagte more different paths, and at least no-one can accuse Damon of treading the same old ground.

I would like to offer to save NME journalists time now by writing the interview. Not because NME are sycophantic, but because Oasis have become utterly, utterly predictable:'We gfot it slightly wrong with our last album but this time we've got it right...'This is our second best album...''We still think the Beatles are the best band ever...' We hate .... and .... and ... because they look like students.'You wait. I would LOVE to be proved wrong but it's been downhill since 1997. face the facts.
