The 'Young Dudes' to play London shows
Fri 16 Jan, 2009
I've hoped this might happen for a long time. No way I can make it to Hammersmith in October, though. I hope they may either do a couple of festivals, or do a short world tour (via Chicago). Failing that, at the very least I hope there's a video of it. Nice one, guys.

Jimmy Page's manager says the band will not continue in any form
Fri 09 Jan, 2009
Anyone remember few years back when Page toured with The Black Crowes and they did all the Zep stuff? On paper it didn't seem like a great idea, but it came off amazingly. Chris Robinson can really sing, and they could perform some of the songs with multiple guitar parts that Zep were never able to. Give Live At The Greek a listen if you're curious. I definitely think they should try that again, and if John Paul Jones was interested too, it would be fantastic.

It was fantastic. Three best bands of the day were Gogol Bordello, Radiohead and Yeasayer. Seeing Radiohead do Paranoid Android is something I've wanted for so long.

ring piece, the only thing offensive here is your ignorant opinion. Just because you don't like metal you think Download shouldn't exist? We should all be one homogenous mass of people with identical taste to yours? I'm no Lostprophets fan, but if a load of people like them enough that they headline a metal festie, so what?

Radiohead, Raconteurs and Kanye all on bill
Fri 04 Apr, 2008
Fantastic - I can't wait! Really looking forward to seeing Radiohead for the first time. Also, as I have my Leeds ticket (thanks to NME's extra allocation) I'll be getting to see Rage twice this year. I'm still wondering if, when the line up gets officially released on Monday, Hannah Montana will be on the bill, or if that was an elaborate April Fool's joke.

The Rolling Stone advises his favourite new artist

Calm down folks! Two things can be compared and classed as SIMILAR in one or two aspects without being the SAME. I think that what USAags was trying to say was that alcoholism and cancer are similar insofar as some people can be genetically predisposed to suffer from these conditions. There is no reason to be offended by this point, which has plenty of scientific evidence to back it up.

The stars are rumoured to perform at the Chicago Festival
Sat 08 Mar, 2008
Looking forward to it already. Apparently Radiohead feel that their Grant Park concert in 2001 was one of their best ever, so there'll be a lot to live up to. By the way, its not so long since NIN played Chicago - Tweeter Center 2006
