Green Day have been a band for over 20 years now so they have fans in different generations (which an achievement in my opinion) i am 25 and like green day and i know many other green day fans older and younger. And song basher no i am not american, if you recall in 2005 green day played to more people on the same weekend as glastonbury festival they had the biggest album of the year and spawned 4 hit singles. They have sold 70 million records and with 21st century breakdown you can expect this to rise to 80 million. Making them a bigger band than oasis/coldplay/killger/KOL even u2.

mannequin - why are kaiser chiefs supporting Green Day? Unless you have been hiding away somewhere you should know that Green Day are the biggest band on the planet right now - and with their new album coming out i am afraid you are going to see a lot more of them. Why are Green Day still trying? because they are good and millions want more.
