Girls Aloud diss indie bands on new song

Face it, Hadouken songs won't still be played in 10 or 20 years time. In fact they'll be lucky to still be played in 12 month's time. Girls Aloud don't write their own songs so it is a bit rich for them to have a go at others who do, but then Elvis Presley never wrote anything and it never did him any harm. Girls Aloud are better than most miserable Indie bands who write their own songs because they have a team of writers and a team of producers. Consequently most of their albums are really diverse and full of interesting ideas and sounds. Meanwhile I can't tell one Kooks song from another. It's the same with American sitcoms. They have a massive team of writers (when they're not on strike!) so they can come up with a lot more ideas than just one sad miserable person scribbling wimpy lyrics in their bedsit. I don't think an Indie boy (or girl) writing their own lyrics makes them more talented than Girls Aloud. I think it makes them more restricted and have less creativity. Of today's modern songwriters, I think only Damon Albarn has served up a diverse range of material. Incidentally, listen to 'London's Swinging' by Girls Aloud and imagine Klaxons covering it. Or 'Black Jacks' covered by Artic Monkeys. They're great catchy songs, as good as any by your Indie heroes.
