Zavvi calls in 'restructuring team' as Woolworths fallout spreads

Music and DVD store is unable to stock its stores or sell music online

Fri 12 Dec, 2008

Great news. Firstly because in my town of Witney (heard of it?!) we have a small record shop called 'Rapture'. This is one of the top 10 record shops in the country, and now thanks to big name companies going bust, stores like Rapture, and all the other little ones in Soho get a greater chance in competing. Secondly, Zavvi recently rejected a job application from me.

Mercury Prize announced today (Sept 9)

Find out who wins on NME.COM tonight

Tue 09 Sep, 2008

Comments (1)

When did The Last Shadow Puppets play in Oxford? Not that that matters, they're shit. Radiohead and Burial both deserve the award, Radiohead for just creating the best album coming out of Britain in some time, and Burial because he is moving dub step forward and if he wins, it would be a huge acheivment for this new genre.

Thom Yorke says his lyrics are 'nonsense' as Radiohead return to UK

Band kick off carbon-friendly British dates with London gig

Tue 24 Jun, 2008

Comments (3)

fuck you benn_muzI was at that gig and I did not feel cheated at all! Do you people just buy the greatest hits or something? Karma Police or No Surprises are not their best songs, I thought it was money well spent. The set list was brilliant, although I did want them to play 2+2=5, but oh well. Brilliant gig.

First UK music file-sharing arrests made

Six British people detained for downloading music illegally

Tue 03 Jun, 2008

Comments (2)

come on nme, who's going to admit they download illegally now? All you need is the cops to read it then you're screwed.I used to download illegally, I still know people who do. I think music is an art and should be there for as many people to listen to as possible. Illegal downloading doesn't necersarilly mean bands won't get paid a fortune for what they make. It does still feel nicer buying the actualy cd though.

Radiohead speak out against 'Greatest Hits' album

Thom Yorke asks: 'What's the purpose?'

Fri 09 May, 2008

Comments (1)

A little narrow minded from the first comment. I'm 16 years old and have been listening to radiohead as far as I can remember, and I buy cds. But still, the greatest hits sounds like a miss for me.

Radiohead to release 'Best Of' compilation

See what tracks have made the cut

Wed 02 Apr, 2008

Comments (1)

What are you on about 'lucius', Morning bell wasn't on ok computer, it was Amnesiac and Kid A. And Talk Show Host was for a film, not a b-side. As for the album, its blatent that EMI are scrounging all the money possible they can make from Radiohead before its too late. They released the box set around christmas time, not a best of. Doesn't even have Myxomatosis or You and whose army? I for one won't be buying this album and I don't think any true Radiohead fan should either.
